About Kathleen M. R. Thurman
As a family nurse practitioner, Kathleen Thurman believes it's important to empower patients to choose healthy lifestyles to help prevent chronic diseases. "I want my patients to work toward good health and give them the tools they need to achieve their goals," says Kathleen.
Kathleen chose family medicine as her focus because she likes working with people of all ages. "I like the flexibility that primary care provides, so I can treat patients with all types of conditions," she says.
After earning her bachelor's degree in biology from Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio, Kathleen completed her master's degree in nursing from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Kathleen was born in California but raised in Mount Angel, Oregon. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
