Jennifer Nelson, ARNP

Jennifer Nelson, ARNP, is a nurse practitioner at West Olympia Family Medicine. Jennifer graduated with a bachelor's degree in sociology from University of Washington and then went on to receive a master's in nursing from Seattle University. She has been working in family practice since 2014. Her top priority in providing patient care is to make the patient feel heard. She approaches care from a team approach by providing information, guidance, and support but allowing the patient to make the ultimate decisions in their care. Her goal is to see patients excel in their own health goals. Just like any athletic coach she wants to give patients the tool they will need to improve their health, but she will also caution them on elements that could hinder their health goals. Jennifer wants to help patients achieve what they feel is important in their health while keeping them safe. Two areas of interest in primary care are guiding patients through their weight loss journeys and providing transgender care.
