Vijay S. Are, MD

Dr. Vijay Are is a board-certified gastroenterologist and advanced therapeutic endoscopist specializing in complex pancreaticobiliary and gastrointestinal disorders. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Minnesota and advanced endoscopy training at Yale University, following medical education at Indiana University and Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York. His clinical interests include pancreatitis, pancreatic cysts, neoplasms, and complex biliary disease, as well as GERD, Barrett’s esophagus, eosinophilic esophagitis, celiac disease, H. pylori gastritis, IBS, IBD, and liver disease. Dr. Are is highly skilled in procedures such as endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), ERCP, and complex polypectomy and mucosal resection. He is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care with a focus on patient-centered outcomes and collaborative multidisciplinary management.
