Benjamin T. Ferrel, DO

Dr. Ferrel is a transplant surgeon specializing in kidney & pancreas transplant procedures. After growing up in a small town in Western Washington, Dr. Ferrel attended high school in Spokane and subsequently graduated from Gonzaga University. He then completed medical school in Chicago, surgical residency in Iowa and fellowship training in Los Angeles, finishing with proficiency in Kidney and Liver Transplantation as well as non-transplant liver and pancreas surgery. Now, he is excited to return home and join the team at Sacred Heart. He is passionate about supporting patients in their journey to better health through organ transplantation and in expanding access to these life-saving operations in Eastern Washington, Idaho and Montana. When not at work he enjoys skiing in the winter, climbing and biking in the summer, and spending time year-round with his wife and two cats.
