This was my 2nd appointment with Dr. Lyou to discuss my current prostate cancer condition. My first visit he referred me to Dr. Ash, Radiation Oncologist at St. Joseph in Orange, CA. This visit he is scheduling me for chemo therapy. I feel confident Dr. Lyou is going to provide me with the best care during my treatments.

Dr. Lyou has been a competent, caring doctor who has supported me in fighting my prostrate cancer. I sincerely believe he has saved my life, and has helped to give me more years despite my prostrate cancer.

Dr. Lyou is a great and caring person!

Excellent doctor and staff

I never had difficulties with this practice. The follow up appointment is scheduled before I leave the office, I leave with te information necessary to schedule radiology procedures if needed. Dr. Lyou is on time to the minute and I always know he remembers me (one little comment or question) which gives me the confidence that I am getting the appropriate care. His explanations help me cope with the side effects of my treatment both practically and psychologically.

Dr Lyou is my oncologist so I see him monthly after the lab work to discuss results and oversee my care in this area. He always is aware of my results and looks through them with me, explaining each one. He also answers my questions with specific information/explanations not just lip service encouragement, giving me the confidence he heard and processed my question/concern.He instilled the same respect and empathy for the patients in his staff. I am a relatively new patient to him and his staff, yet his MA (always the same!) recognizes me, she always makes a personal comment while we are walking to the consultation room - a small detail that makes me feel like a human rather than a number. The next visit is scheduled before I leave the office so I don't have to battle with the terrible phone scheduling system I have to use for other doctors.In conclusion: a very knowledgeable doctor who practices medicine with competence and empathy and made sure his staff does the same. Thank you, Dr. Lyou!

His introduction was less than courteous in my opinion. We realize that we did not make the wiest of choices 7 months ago by not opting for chemo on an elderly unhealthy patient. We realize that the diagnosis is grave, however the Dr. Seemed less than compassionate when giving us the news
