Marian M. Varda, DO

Dr. Varda is a fellowship-trained Hematologist and Medical Oncologist specializing in malignant solid tumor, benign hematology and malignant hematology. Following her undergraduate studies at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Dr. Varda attended medical school at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harlem, New York. She then completed her Internal Medicine at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, CA where she was awarded with the intern of the year and also served an additional year as Chief Resident. Dr. Varda then went on and completed a fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Harbor- UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, CA where she was able to rotate through different cancer centers in Southern California and treated a vast and diverse array of pathology and most importantly, was able to take care of patients from different ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Additionally, she served as Chief Fellow in her final year of training. Dr. Varda has published numerous abstracts and journal articles in addition to poster presentation at various Oncology Conferences. Dr. Varda is passionate in her role and approaches patient care in a holistic manner and as a team effort. Each patient will have a personalized treatment plan that will not only address their condition but also their needs, concerns, and goals. She takes her time to listen and values every encounter with her patients.
