About Austin Y. Sue
Dr. Austin Sue was born and raised in San Francisco, CA. He is a graduate of UC Riverside and acquired his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine in the Caribbean. There he experienced life in a rural environment which has inspired him to live simply and find joy in community and family.
While training in his Family Medicine Residency at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, he gained a special interest in working with the geriatric and terminally ill population. Subsequently he completed a fellowship degree in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at UCSF Fresno.
Dr. Sue joined Providence Medical Group in 2016 and now works full-time in the Outpatient Palliative Care Clinic. As a physician he highly values leading his patients in regular family discussions, symptom management, and providing guidance in life planning for their unique and difficult circumstances.
Dr. Sue lives in Santa Rosa with his wife and two children. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, running, caring for the environment, and discovering new places in beautiful Sonoma County with his family.
