About Minette F. Finney

Dr. Finney is a board-eligible OB/GYN currently practicing in Orange County, with a deep commitment to reproductive justice, health equity, and improving care for underserved communities. She provides compassionate, evidence-based care with a focus on supporting patients through all stages of obstetric and gynecologic health.

Dr. Finney completed her medical degree at New York Medical College, began her OB/GYN residency at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and most recently completed her training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Her clinical experience includes managing a broad range of obstetric and gynecologic conditions, from routine care to high-acuity and complex cases. She is especially skilled in intrapartum management, surgical care, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.

She is drawn to the OB/GYN hospitalist role for its focus on team-based care and its unique ability to support patients during unpredictable—and often life-changing—moments. Dr. Finney is known for creating calm, supportive environments and for making sure every patient feels heard, respected, and cared for. She values clear communication, shared decision-making, and culturally competent care that honors each person’s background and needs.

In addition to her clinical work, she has formal training in medical education and is passionate about mentorship and advocacy. She works to improve patient care through health literacy, inclusive education, and systems-level improvements aimed at making reproductive healthcare more equitable and accessible for all.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, walks on the beach and spending time with her friends and family.
