About Pouran Malekzadeh
Dr. Pouran Malekzadeh is originally from Scottsdale, Arizona. She graduated Summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She served in AmeriCorps in Austin, Texas prior to starting her medical training. She earned her medical degree at The University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, Arizona. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). During her time at UTHSC, the only level I trauma center in all of Memphis, she cared for some of the highest risk obstetric and gynecologic patients throughout the entire state. Dr. Malekzadeh then moved to Virginia where she provided comprehensive patient care for several years. She is now in California to be closer to family and joins St. Joseph and St. Jude Heritage Medical Group as full-time hospitalist. In her free time, Dr. Malekzadeh enjoys jogging, painting, being outdoors, and spending time with her family. Dr. Malekzadeh speaks conversational Farsi.
