About Wendi K. Drummond

Dr. Drummond is an an Infectious Disease Specialist at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR. She is board certified in Infectious Disease, Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.

She received her medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed her residency in a combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency program in Phoenix, AZ at Banner University of Arizona/VA Medical Center and Phoenix Children's Hospital/Maricopa County Medical Center. She served as a Chief Medical Resident and Junior Faculty at Banner University of Arizona and the Phoenix VA Medical Center and completed Infectious Disease Fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University. She was recognized in Denver, CO as a Top Doc for three years in Infectious Disease and was also recognized with a STAR award at National Jewish Health which recognizes excellence in patient care.

At Providence Portland Medical Center, she is the medical director for outpatient infection prevention for Providence Health for the Oregon region, and see patients for infectious disease consultations in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. She cares for patients living with HIV and well as a wide variety of other infectious disease issues. She has special interests in the diagnosis and treatment of mycobacterial diseases, complex infections in the immune compromised host, as well as complex pulmonary infections, HIV and general infectious disease.

She has presented her research findings at multiple national meetings and has been the co-author on several scientific publications and book chapters about Nontuberculous Mycobacteria (NTM). Dr. Drummond has routinely presented lectures for the Denver TB Course and NTM provider courses at National Jewish Health and has presented at national conferences on tuberculosis and NTM infections.
