Rita M. Miranda, MD

Dr. Rita Miranda has been a dedicated member of St. Mary High Desert Medical Group since 2014, initially joining as a hospitalist, caring for our patients that were admitted to the hospital. Her career path has led her to transition into a primary care physician role for the Comprehensive Care - High Risk Clinic, and she currently serves as the primary care physician for both the Transitional Medical Clinic, post hospital clinic, and the Enhanced Care Management Program, comprehensive care management program with Inland Empire Health Plan.

In her role as faculty for outpatient, Dr. Miranda oversees the Internal Medicine Residency Program, where she provides mentorship and support to residents in the outpatient setting. Her commitment to education is a testament to her dedication to developing the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Dr. Miranda is deeply committed to the High Desert community and extends her expertise globally through her involvement with the Mission Medical Team, where she travels to Africa to deliver essential medical care.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Miranda finds joy in spending time with her family and dogs, maintaining a balanced lifestyle that reflects her values and passions.
