Sara E. Walz, MD

Dr Walz is extremely knowledgeable in geriatric issues, listens to the patient and family's concerns, and is extremely compassionate to their multi-faceted needs. She paints a realistic clinical progression and understandable expectations based on the diagnoses for the patient and family.

Dr. Walz is exceptionally thoughtful and skilled in communicating. She listens and I feel fortunate to have her as my primary doctor.

Providence is lucky, as am I, to have this great physician.

I have always enjoyed my appointments with Sara Walz. I have felt well taken care of with each visit.

If I were the type of person to give recommendations, I would highly recommend Dr Walz as she is an outstanding medical provider. However, I try to steer away from making recommendations about personal matters.

Dr Walz will be reducing her availability for direct patient care due to her recent promotion to a management position. I am happy for her, but sad for me and her other patients.

Always a positive experience

Sara is wise and compassionate and I trust her. The only difficult part of this appointment for me (other than discovering she was no longer as available for office visits) was that our 40 minute appointment ended after 25 minutes. It is so rare to have time with a Dr, I feel every minute available is important. It is the first time I have felt so rushed by her. That said, I would always wish her the best, and am happy to feel she will continue to be even a distant part of my health team.

She is both warm and honest, compassionate and realistic. It feels like I am talking with a full human being when I see her, and like she sees me as a full human being. Sara Walz is wonderful, intelligent, thoughtful, clear and very kind, I'm sorry that she is so busy and that appointments sometimes are difficult to schedule. I feel that some of the people who filter questions and deliver messages may be overly protective of the docs. I have found that to get concerns to the right person may take several calls and prompts. It would be so great if you had more people of Sara's caliber on staff.

My latest visit validates my belief that I am fortunate that Dr Walz is my primary care doctor. She is easy to interact with, attentive, and action-oriented when it comes to what she can do to help me be as healthy as I can be in the present and going forward. I am reassured that she relies on medical science and takes the time to explain, sometimes debate ;) the finer points on a health matter. I never feel condescended to, always feel respected as a patient, as a person.

Sara Walz is WONDERFUL!!! She is an excellent listener with that rare ability to communicate difficult medical terms and conditions in easily understood language. She is compassionate, caring and concerned about my ongoing health issues. If Providence could figure out a way to clone her, everyone else could then experience what I am talking about. She is absolutely incredible. Hang onto her. Keep her happy. Treat her kindly. And incorporate into your practice what she suggests.

Doctor Walz is always prepared with great suggestions on how to improve my health. She's caring and smart. I do recommend her to my friends on a regular basis. I've not had another other doctor In Southern Oregon that compares.
