Tuyet Nhi Mai

Tuyet Nhi is a Resident Internal Medicine Provider at Providence Primary Care - Northeast Portland. Nhi was born and raised by her hardworking Vietnamese immigrant parents in Portland, Oregon. She was motivated by her family's experiences and challenges with healthcare to pursue a career in medicine and deliver compassionate, patient-centered care. After graduating from Portland State University, she worked as a medical scribe at various clinic settings, a medical annotator, and a research assistant. She subsequently attended Oregon Health & Science University, where she developed an interest in internal medicine and found joy in providing effective patient education. During her free time outside the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her family by hosting small dinners and gatherings, baking, binge-watching Netflix shows, traveling to new places, and running. She is excited to return to Providence Portland, where she first discovered her passion for medicine as a scribe.
