About Fatima Hayat

Dr. Fatima Hayat is a general and interventional cardiologist who provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of coronary artery disease, chest pain, heart attacks, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and other cardiovascular risk factors. She also performs cardiac catheterization, coronary angioplasty and stenting, and complex percutaneous coronary interventions. Dr. Hayat completed her interventional cardiology fellowship at UCLA, where she received advanced training in complex coronary interventions, intravascular imaging, management of calcified coronary disease, and care of patients with acute coronary syndromes and cardiogenic shock. She previously completed her general cardiology fellowship at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and Washington Hospital Center, where she also served as chief fellow. Her care philosophy is rooted in compassionate, evidence-based, and individualized treatment. She believes in listening closely to her patients, explaining diagnoses and treatment options clearly, and involving each patient in decisions about their cardiovascular health. Dr. Hayat is also passionate about preventive cardiology and improving cardiovascular awareness among South Asian communities.
