About Christopher M. Putman
Christopher M. Putman, MD, is a board-certified interventional neuroradiologist with specialty training in radiology. He treats a variety of complex intracranial, head and neck, and spine vascular conditions including acute stroke, cervical and intracranial stenosis, vascular malformations, cerebral aneurysm and venous occlusive diseases. He specializes in brain aneurysm treatment, carotid artery stenting, middle meningeal artery embolization for chronic subdural hemorrhage, dural arteriovenous fistula (DAVF) treatment, and arteriovenous malformation (AVM) treatment. Dr. Putman has previously served as director of interventional neuroradiology at the Massachusetts General Hospital and the Brigham and Women’s Hospitals at Harvard School of Medicine. He also served as director of interventional neuroradiology at Inova Fairfax Hospital. Dr. Putman’s particular research interest is in stroke and cerebral aneurysms have resulted in authorship and co-authorship of more than 100 peer-reviewed articles, reviews, and book chapters.
