About Jason W. Tarpley

Jason Tarpley, MD, PhD, is a board-certified neurologist with advanced fellowship training in vascular and interventional neurology. He is an expert in the endovascular treatment of patients with neurovascular disorders including brain aneurysms, stroke, carotid artery disease, intracranial arterial stenosis, vascular malformations and fistulas, and chronic subdural hemorrhage.

Dr. Tarpley completed his PhD in neuroscience at the University of California, Los Angeles, and specializes in brain aneurysm treatment, carotid artery stenting, middle meningeal artery embolization for chronic subdural hemorrhage, dural arteriovenous fistula (DAVF) treatment, arteriovenous malformation (AVM) treatment.

He is a principal investigator in many phase 2 and phase 3 clinical research trials which allows him to bring the latest leading edge endovascular treatments to patients with neurovascular disease. He has published many papers on endovascular treatment of neurovascular disease and regularly presents his research domestically and internationally. Dr. Tarpley serves as the medical director for Pacific Stroke and Neurovascular Center and clinical lead for the system-wide clinical stroke research at Providence St. Joseph Health.
