About John Lyle Tron M. Gomez

Dr. John Lyle Gomez is a neurologist with extensive experience in epilepsy care. Born and raised in the Philippine islands, Dr. Gomez obtained his medical degree at the University of the Philippines, where he graduated cum laude. He completed his neurology residency and epilepsy fellowship at UT Health in Houston. He most recently practiced in Louisiana before joining Providence Brain and Spine Institute in Oregon. Dr. Gomez believes that education can empower patients, their families and health care staff to ensure optimal outcomes for people with neurological disorders. "My most important role as a physician is to act as an advocate for my patients to ensure they receive the best possible care," he says. "I emphasize truly listening to a patient's concerns so that in addition to arriving at an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan, we can address what matters most to them."
