Dr. Jong is very thorough and explains complicated matters well.

Really have no confidence in this provider. He doesn't listen to patient. He has his agenda and pushes it through. He barely made eye contact and didn't give us a chance for input. All he wants to here are responses to his questions. Would like to change providers but options are limited.

Always knows my history. Asks my wife and me if we have any concerns or questions.

This provider is not easy to talk with. His speech is robotic and it is very hard to break in to ask a question. He doesn't come across as very personal and friendly.

We, as family have been seeing Dr. Jong for over a year now. Each time he has been attentive to our needs, carefully & thoughtfully responds to a very challenging and difficult acceptance process for our mom and us as a family with her diagnosis. Dr. Jong has acted upon any concerns timely and professionally to determine best steps forward and how to navigate on a medical level in addition to precautions our mom and we should be thinking about & planning for. Over the course, he has been able to learn more about the day-to-day signs we experience by allowing us to communicate freely & honestly and weave those concerns into our discussions to help us better understand the symptoms of cognitive decline.

I was told my alzeimer is moderate to severe now, I understand Dr. Jong is busy but still I expect a little more compassion and understanding of my situation. Dr. Jong was very impatient with me because I couldn't respond to his questions regarding to the alzeimer test quick enough. I am suffering with my own disease so I need the physician understands me better.

In this visit DR JONG was personable and upbeat from the start.Occasionally, in the past his demeanor seemed a bit distracted; THIS Experience was excellent.

My person with dementia has a background of angry parents in childhood that can be triggering when folks voices are loud or emphatic. The 3 words test words that was issued by Dr Jong was said emphatically and very loudly which was slightly unnerving for my care receiver... That In Itself can cause one triggered not to be able to remember the words due to emotional flooding. It was most probably done that way so no possible elderly hearing deficit would interfere with an accurate memory assessment. But my client has no hearing loss. Perhaps a slightly louder, yet gentler speaking of the words would be better, leaving adequate space between each. I do not believe in my person's case it ultimately changed her result, but in the general population it could.I am hoping this input is helpful in general for others.

I would rather interact with an AI robot than Dr Jong about cognitive issues. He is personality less.

I like this doctor, Dr. Jong at St. V's; it's just tough to get an appointment. He's a busy guy, but it's worth the wait.

Straight to the point

This was a great way for Dr. Jong to communicate with his patient (me) and family. It was efficient also.

Had to wait 6 months to see Dr Jong. Also referred a friend to Dr Jong because he is so thorough, caring, medically competent. But our friend felt he couldn't wait so LONG to see Dr Jong. Need more experienced, competent doctors like Dr Jong !!

Does routine followup well. Empathetic approach, issues of daily life not so much.

The doctor seemed flat, monotone, unengaged. He seemed like he had a script and process to follow, only wanted the most brief clear answers, with no discussion. He went methodically through the process like a robot. He was only focused on an analysis of dementia, which I clearly don't have, and was not interested in anything neurological outside of this focus. We completed the evaluation, but I didn't learn anything new.

He is a good listener and takes his time to answer questions. He is kind and pleasant in manner

He has previously arranged for appropriate tests following his examinations; I believe that I've benefited from his analysis of the test results, and his subsequent advice as well as medication prescribed.

I have been happy with all my care with Providence. My only concern is the amount of paper that is sent out. There must be a way to limit it or go paperless for those who would like to.

It took a very long time to get an appointment and then it was changed and moved out for months. This was to check for dementia and wasn't going to get any better by waiting. The appointment itself was very good. Dr was very thorough and took his time in questioning and now it's wait again for different tests.
