Shelby R. Booker, DO

This was my first visit. Very impressive staff and care providers. They helped me deal with some ugly insurance frustrations.

I can tell everyone was doing the best that they could. I felt like they were over booked and/or in a rush. I was waiting on the doctor to finish some notes after my appointment and update my blood work needed but I think she forgot or got side tracked. I was just sitting in the room for that for 10-15 mins before asking the nurse to help me, and they were able to update it for me. This wasn't a bad experience, everyone was helpful. It was just more chaotic than my normal experiences at that office.

In all honesty, Dr. Booker has been one of the best doctors I've ever seen. I originally scheduled my appointment with her for a second opinion, and I'm very grateful that I did. She took the time to listen to my concerns and she immediately came up with a plan to help me get to the bottom of my problem.

Dr. Booker was kind, compassionate, and thorough. I would be happy to see her again and recommend her to others.

Since the first moment I saw Dr. Booker I could tell my experiences were going to be very pleasant. I choose her specifically after looking through the providence website and reading her reviews and her description. She always walks into the room with a smile on her face and takes the time to make small talk. I also appreciate her letting me ask all my questions regarding my health, while also letting me know of my options as well. I have had great experiences with her and I know ill continue to have them, she truly is an amazing doctor, not only in her expertise but in her bedside manner. I would without a doubt recommend Dr .Booker to others and know they'll be treated with the same care and respect I was given.

This care provider was my first time going to an OB. It was such a rushed experience, I felt that the provider did not go over my history , just conducted the ultrasound and stated that "since there is no heartbeat or fetal pole, that there may be a chance for miscarriage". When that is told in a blunt way, it's shocking to hear and no follow up questions or information as to how can I care for myself or continue with normal activities. The MA was more thorough in her questioning. The provider also forgot to send me home with my blood work sheet to take to quest and also with the first ultrasound photo. I had to go back in and ask for those things.

Very happy to be a new patient with this doctor.

Very nice office friendly and respectful staff and provider they took care of me fast in the office the only thing is that I had to wait 2 months to be seen.

Dr.Booker was clearly over tasked. She is an excellent doctor. I was there for a check up so my prescription could be renewed and she didn't ask about it at all.

Overall, I really appreciated Dr. Booker's approach. I was however disappointed that she had nothing to say about the scientific paper I gave her related to my problem. She simply handed it back to me w/o looking at it. No way for me to know if she had already read it, wasn't at all interested, doesn't think that being up on currently published data is of value, etc. I found this slightly concerning.

They are only words of gratitude to the doctor and all the staff such as nurses, the anesthesiologist everything was very kind and I thank them very much for what they did for me, may God bless them and protect them always so that they continue to help more people as well as me, thank you very much and blessings to all.

Dr. Booker and I met for the first time. She was gracious and beautiful and I look forward to establishing a relationship as her patient.

She definitely eased my mind for a stressful situation.

Dr. Booker is hands down the BEST doctor!! The amount of empathy, patience, kindness, expertise, grace, cheerfulness and skill she gives to her patients is nothing short of extraordinary. I am ever so grateful to her and the care she provided to my daughter and I when she was born. Dr. Booker is absolutely phenomenal.

Dr. Booker listened to me with respect about my medical needs, and she had a plan to assist me in my health journey, and a back up plan if the first trials of medicine didn't work. She's an incredible doctor, and I felt fully taken care of. I will recommend her to any of my family or friends looking for a Gynecologist.

This is was my first appointment with Dr. Booker. I found her warm, easy to talk with and informative.

When I first made my appointment, there wasn't a congratulations on my pregnancy or an explanation as to why I had to wait 10 weeks. That was my only frustrating moment. Everything else now that I'm a patient is great and I'm looking forward to continued care.

I wanted my birth control removed and told the nurse who checked my vitals that .. When the doctor came in she stated on myChart she read I wanted birth control removed and tubes tied .. I never said anything about my tubes tied and was confused where she got that from. I asked the doctor who said anything about tubes ties and she mentioned she read it on my notes .. Who put that on my notes because I did not say anything about that .
