About Carina C. Cortez
Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Carina Cortez, MSN, RNC-OB, WHNP, knew she wanted to be a nurse when she was 10 years old, and her niece was born. After High school, she pursued her degree in nursing. Her first job was with Providence as a postpartum nurse. Carina then trained for Labor and Delivery and high-risk Obstetrics while pursuing her bachelor’s and master’s degree.
Carina is a professor of nursing for Los Angeles Harbor college. She is passionate about encouraging her students to be patient advocates and future leaders in healthcare. Carina’s goal as a provider is to provide high quality care for women throughout their life span.
