She completed her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology there as well. She has worked as a general obstetrician and gynecological surgeon for Providence Medical Group since 1998. After twenty-five years and the current privilege of caring for three generations of women, I am transitioning my practice from general obstetrics and gynecology surgery to general obstetrics and office-based gynecology. Since 2018, I have become board certified in lifestyle medicine and a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP), qualifications can enrich and improve women's health across their lifetime. Traveling, hiking, bird watching, cycling, and cooking are just a few of the activities Dr. Thum enjoys in her spare time.

Good experience
Providence Patient
Bedside manner could use some work, felt like I was just supposed to listen and no speak to my personal experiences about my own body. Then got up after 10 mins and left the room without really saying goodbye even
Providence Patient
I have seen Dr. Thum for two different visits in the past 3 years and both experiences haven't been great. She is not very gentle during vaginal exams, does not listen well, and frequently interrupts.
Providence Patient
This provider was not helpful. Wouldn't refill prescriptions that my typical OB refills. She dismissed my concerns & referred me to my PCP, Despite being followed by my OB very closely for medical issues.
