The lack of clear communication about expectations and extremely brief visit was the most frustrating part, after driving and hour and a have one way just for this appointment. I did not get the impression that the doctor understands my injury or really cares to understand it. Even if there is a standard protocol, which I fully understand and agree with, it did not feel as though the doctor even wanted to hear a complete answer about my injury. I did not feel like I was given the opportunity to explain myself fully or given a clear understanding about next steps or expectations. It felt like this was so routine and insignificant for the doctor that it didn't matter that this has been 10 months of my life and it is not routine or insignificant to me.
