About Andrew T. G. Howlett
Dr. Andrew T. Howlett is an Orthopedic Surgery Specialist in Spokane, Washington. He graduated with honors from University of Washington School of Medicine in 1998. He then completed Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma and a second Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Oncology at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Dr. Andrew T. Howlett is one of only five such dually Fellowship trained surgeons in the country. Dr. Howlett treats benign and malignant tumors of the bones and soft tissues of the limbs in adults and children. Dr. Howlett uses a multidisciplinary approach working closely with physicians from other fields, including radiology, pathology, medical and pediatric oncology, as well as radiation oncology. Dr. Howlett had developed a Sarcoma Tumor Board where these physicians come together to create customized treatment plans for these complex cases. Since many patients travel from surrounding communities, our team works closely with the doctors in the patient's hometown to try to minimize their need to travel.

Dr Howlett was dismissive, rude and seemed annoyed. I don't know if this is normal for him or he was just having a bad day but I'm getting another consult because I sure don't want someone like this operating on me. I also waited one hour to see him. Which may or may not have been something he could control. But overall, a very unpleasant experience.

Dr. Howlett is great! He made me understand the importance of waiting until January or maybe even February to get my knee replaced. I didn't think about the importance of getting my dental work finished and reduce the chance of infection. Dr. Howlett replaced both of my husbands knees, one in 12/2015 and the other in 03/2016. We appreciated his work, PA's and staff and felt he is the best. I'm very privileged to have him do my surgery.
