Dr. Alfonzo was very helpful!
Providence Patient
I was very unsatisfied with my experience at Providence for my daughter's 6 month check-up. We were at the office for almost 2 hours to complete the visit. The doctor was scheduled to be on call at the hospital while she had patients in the clinic - this was incredibly frustrating especially as a mother of a small baby. My baby became extremely hungry and I was asked not to feed her until she got her shots as she could spit up from them and it took so long that we went into the next nap time so she was crying a lot due to hunger and tiredness in the room while we waited. When the doctor finally came in the room she was clearly rushed and I felt like I wasn't given proper attention for many of my concerns as a first time mother. She was short in her responses and even condescending at times. I almost said something in the moment but was fearful it would impact the way she treated my baby. Furthermore, it took even longer for us to wait on the shots which are already a challenging experience with a baby. My baby received her shots hungry and tired. I am incredibly disappointed in Providence. I have been attending St. Jude's since I was a child myself and never had an experience like this before.
