Dr. Jaya Venkataraman is a dedicated pediatrician who believes in treating the whole child—addressing not just symptoms, but each unique person with individual needs and strengths. With a medical education from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria and pediatric residency training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Jaya brings both rigorous evidence-based medicine and deep compassion to every patient interaction.

Dr. Jaya is passionate about fighting the epidemic of chronic diseases by instilling lifelong healthy habits in children. She believes that her greatest success would be former patients who carry her voice with her as a lifelong companion, preventing diabetes, heart disease, and obesity through the healthy choices they have incorporated in their daily living.

Dr. Jaya has diverse interests outside of medicine. She is an avid gardener who specializes in indoor and exotic plants and is passionate about nature. Her dream is to visit all the National Parks—she has already explored about half of them and hopes to complete this goal within the next five years. Her children often join her on these adventures, and she cherishes the time spent with her family. Dr. Jaya also has a keen interest in home renovation and construction projects, particularly enjoying the design aspects.

She loves to travel all over the world. Her love of travel stems from her childhood experiences growing up across three different continents, which fostered her appreciation for diverse cultures and landscapes.
