About Allison C. Nauta
Dr. Allison C. Nauta is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with specific interest in breast and body aesthetics. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia with a double major in politics and biology. Born in Boston and raised in Washington, D.C., Dr. Nauta received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. Midway through her residency training, Dr. Nauta spent three years as a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University in Dr. Michael Longaker’s lab where she published several manuscripts on the role of adult tissue-derived stromal cells in wound healing. She then completed a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Oregon Health and Science University, followed by a one-year microsurgical fellowship at KU Medical Center in Kansas City. Microsurgical fellowship provided Dr. Nauta with the opportunity to perform complex autologous reconstruction of the breast, head and neck, lower extremity, and hand.
With extensive exposure to aesthetics, the biology of wound healing, and reconstructive plastic surgery, Dr. Nauta takes pride in providing the entire spectrum of breast reconstructive surgery—including autologous approaches—as well as aesthetic surgery of the breast and body.

I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. My experience to date with Dr Nauta and the entire team at the Providence Breast Surgery Center has been excellent!

Dr. Nauta and her team were incredible. As a 31 year breast cancer survivor I had implants two different times from male doctors. Dr. Nauta was able to create implants for me that appear and feel more natural that I could have ever hoped. She was kind and caring which made it easier to face another surgery. She took her time to explain to me what was going to happen and what the outcome would be. Her team helped me after the surgery with any questions or concerns that I had. They were caring, understanding and helpful. I will always recommend Dr. Nauta and her team anytime I am approached about needing such an expert. I could not say enough about her care and concern. I am very grateful.

Dr. Nauta did a beautiful job correcting a badly encapsulated breast implant. It was uncomfortable and looked bizarre before. Now it looks almost natural, feels so much better and actually has better sensation to touch! Very happy with the results. Glad to have her available for when the implants need replacement in the future. It's good to have a team you can count on!

I liked Dr. Nauta from the begining of our conversation. She explained my options for the type of surgery I needed, and gave very good advice. I feel confident in her abilities as my surgeon.
