Akhil Korrapati, DPM

Dr. Akhil Korrapati is a new podiatric physician and surgeon to join our group with comprehensive training in medical and surgical care of the lower extremity. He specializes in foot and ankle reconstruction, traumatic fracture repair, sports medicine, diabetic limb salvage, and wound care, with a strong commitment to improving patient outcomes through both evidence-based practice and compassionate care. Dr. Korrapati completed his training at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in 2021. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh and earned a graduate degree from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to medical training, he was involved in impactful research at the Behavioral Pharmacology Research Unit at Johns Hopkins University and conducted HIV/AIDS research within the Department of Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He went on to complete a comprehensive three-year surgical residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, a top-ranked Level I Trauma Center. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Korrapati enjoys traveling, exploring Los Angeles’ vibrant food scene, playing soccer and golf, weightlifting, hiking, and attending live sporting events. As a former athlete, he brings firsthand insight into the prevention and treatment of lower extremity sports injuries.
