About Hyun S. Suh

Influenced by mentors she admired, Hyun Suh, MD, chose to pursue a career in medicine and specialize in endocrinology. She sees all general endocrine cases but has special interest in caring for patients with thyroid, parathyroid and pituitary issues.

Getting to know her patients and forming long-term relationships are what she enjoys about being a medical provider. She understands that navigating through health issues can be difficult and frustrating at times. “I try to empathize with my patients as much as possible,” she says.

Dr. Suh earned her undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of California, Davis. She completed her internship and residency at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and a fellowship in endocrinology at University of California, San Francisco.

Born in Korea, Dr. Suh came to the United States when she was 12 years old. She enjoys cooking, sharing meals and spending time with family and friends. She also likes to run and travel, and she loves the outdoors and nature. She speaks English and conversational Korean.
