About Alicia M. Ross

Coming from a family of educators, Alicia Ross, M.D., believes that one of her most important roles is that of educator. “I value the role I play in my patients’ lives. I try to spend time with each of my patients so that they understand their cardiac conditions and treatment options, and to help them make the best decisions about their cardiovascular health.”

Dr. Ross, a board-certified cardiologist, earned her medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland. She completed her residency in internal medicine and fellowship training in cardiovascular medicine and advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology at OHSU. She is board certified in cardiovascular medicine and advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology.

During her fellowship, Dr. Ross’s training emphasized care for heart failure. She is the lead author of the Providence Vulnerability Index Study, a program designed to help identify patients that may be at risk for hospital re-admissions.

Dr. Ross was born and raised in Portland. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her young daughter as well as traveling with her family and cheering on the Ducks.
