About Kathleen S. Paranada
Dr. Paranada chose medicine while doing volunteer work as a youth. She was moved by the impact of the dedication and caring of medical professionals to those who were ill and vulnerable. She chose infectious diseases because of her interests in microbiology, HIV and tropical diseases. Dr. Paranada's special interests include traveling and learning about different cultures. Together with her family, she supports pet rescue and HIV advocacy, as well as medical missions and non-formal education in the Philippines.
