About Jenna E. Kay
Dr. Jenna Kay was drawn to medicine early, fascinated by the science and compelled by the opportunity to play a role in people’s lives over time. She is inspired by the constant innovation within cardiology, and finds joy in caring for a diverse group of individuals and tailoring her practice to their needs and perspectives on health.
Dr. Kay graduated from UCSF in 2011, then completed her Internal Medicine residency at Emory University. After completing a year as Chief Resident in 2015, she went on to pursue Cardiology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, and then completed an additional subspecialty fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant.
Before Dr. Kay started medical school, she worked in global health as a Peace Corps volunteer in Uganda. Reflecting on this experience, Dr. Kay says “it changed the way I view health and access to care. It’s essential that we have systems in place to deliver the care that we know works; everyone deserves high-quality, affordable care.”
Dr. Kay grew up in Northern California and is happy to be back on the West Coast closer to family. She loves to run, hike, swim, and explore new places with her husband and two children.
