About Gannon R. Nyquist
Gannon Nyquist takes pride in being a source of information and reassurance for his patients. During visits, he takes as much time as needed to answer every question, no matter how detailed. “I am on my patients’ time, not mine,” he says. “I want to make sure they go home feeling confident in the care they received.”
From building trusting relationships to providing excellent care and staying on top of the changes in medicine, Gannon enjoys every aspect of his work. But the best part of the job, he says, is “seeing a patient’s quality of life improve and being a part of that improvement.”
A graduate of the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, Gannon completed his physician assistant studies and master’s degree in public health at Touro University of California in Vallejo.
In his work, as in the rest of his life, Gannon enjoys connecting with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures. Away from work, he likes spending time in the outdoors and exploring new places with his wife and their dogs.

Some of the questions didn't fully pertain to me in my situation because he was a referral. For pulmonology, that I needed the expected. Wait time for getting that first appointment was definitely within. Normal limits in our current medical climate. In every way Dr. Niquist went above and beyond he knew right medical record. He knew how to meet me where my medical knowledge starts. And end and I have never felt so listened to before by a provider.Let alone in comparison to my last pulmonologist. I was even called to ask if I could come in earlier. So the timing was perfect as well. I felt very, very heard overheard. He listened to my ramblings with understanding and compassion, best pulmonologist, i've had yet! I can't go on, but my experience with the staff was just as great and there was also a fast follow up on the p.F.T he ordered! Need more healthcare workers with their energy and compassion!
