Dr Hwu is very smart a out pain and my health challenges caring about how to to best help me be as comfortable as possible! He is very kind and sensitive.

I was VERY pleased with the outcome from my appointment with Shi-Wei S. Hwu. We had a productive conversation around the treatment I was seeking. I felt that he was very attentive and listened to what I had to say. He had great recommendations on the best approach to providing the most relief. I believe he hit the nail on the head! The outcome has been better than expected.

He was wonderful and noticed something on my other foot and asked questions regarding it.

The experience was very personal and 'efficient'. I made the appointment, online, the night before!! The receptionist was helpful with several questions beyond my visit specifics. Once checked in, I sat for less than 3 minutes before being ushered In for preliminary stuff. Dr. Hwu arrived in less than 5 minutes after that...and was quick to make an assessment and direction. He gave me a prescription but also placed and order for a chest X-Ray IF I didn't feel better in a couple days. I did...so no need but good to already have a next step.

Dr. Hwu is a wonderful, caring, physician. He is so kind and smart and really takes the time to listen. I didn't feel rushed or brushed off. He actually tries to figure out what is going on instead of just putting a bandaid on it. It feels like that old school kind of care where you are truly heard and cared for, not like you are just another patient in a drive thru line.

I wish more physicians were like Dr.Hwu. He was the only doctor who really listened to me. Dr.Hwu examined me and realized that I had nerve pain on top of muscular pain. When I told another doctor I understood about the muscular pain but I was also having shooting pain in my legs,feet and shoulders they brushed it off and ignored me.

He seemed nice, smart, Our first visit. Was not up on my various issues, that was ok. He told me what to do next.

Dr Hwu is very committed to helping me heal from my complicated injury. He is very supportive and knowledgeable always helping me to try and conquer the pain in my body to be as healthy as possible!

I just needed a cortisone shot in my hip and he spent more time with me and discussed the pain issue even though he wasnt my assigned dr. Getting the shot did not hurt at all despite the last few times I have gotten it from other providers. I just really appreciated the time he took and suggestions he offered.

Very nice Doctor Who did a great job analyzing my concussion. Just wish I could've gotten in sooner.

We had to do xrays again, legacy only shared the written report, not the images. Dr Wu is very compassionate

About Dr.Hwu- was very kind and thorough and clear. He gave me a shoulder injection and my pain has improved significantly since then. I appreciate that he reviewed my chart ahead of time and reached out to me before the appt. Was able to do imaging before procedure which I found reassuring.About the call center-- I had an acute issue that required a procedure, mychart next appt 3 months out, I called and was offered an appt one over month out, I felt like it didn't occur to the call center that I could see someone not my own pcp for my issue and I had to ask directly and do a lot of self-advocacy. I am a physician, I don't know that other patients would have been able to get an appt so quickly. I probably would have suffered a lot longer. Everyone was nice on phone, just didn't seem to know how to help me navigate the system.

Often difficult to get a timely appointment with my Dr.

Very knowledgeable and kind when doing a detailed exam of knees. Really felt heard and supportive in my plan of care.

Solid doctor.

He brought up on Amazon a picture of the knee brace he wanted me to use. It was cheaper to order it there than to purchase it at a medical supply store.

I feel confident with my health team at Providence. They are well trained and I am thankful for them.

Everyone was friendly and made me feel comfortable.

Dr Wu is a great resource and I feel fortunate to have him on my team. He is resourceful, attentive, kind, and concerned for my health. He can access my information from my several providers and give me great gp service. I always recommend him to others. Providence is fortunate to have him onboard!
