About Nicole C. Tabbal
Helping people is the driving force behind Nicole Tabbal’s choice to enter the medical field. Becoming a nurse practitioner allows her to live her dream daily, “to understand the human body, mind, and spirit on a deeper level by combining the art of nursing and the art of medicine to provide the most optimal, compassionate care to my patients and their families.” Her practice specialty in cardiovascular surgery allows her to always be looking for the most current evidence-based practices to provide her patients with options when it comes to their treatment plan. “Being a provider is so much more than surgeries and medications,” shares Nicole, “being a provider is about connection, trust, teamwork, and working together to find a therapy or a treatment that is in line with their values and best interests.” Nicole joins us as a Nurse Practitioner with vast experience in the cardiology field. Upon receiving her nursing degree from George Fox University, Newberg, OR, she quickly jumped into her nursing role. Her professional tenure within the Providence system has kept her close to the Portland area serving as a Registered Nurse (RN) within medical-surgical and cardiology. While working within her profession, she began her studies to become a Nurse Practitioner through Maryville University in St. Louis, MO and completed her training at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in the cardiology, internal medicine and neurocritical care departments. Nicole is certified in acute care and progressive critical care nursing. Nicole’s passion to help others extends far beyond the clinic walls as she regularly participates in medical missions across the globe with her alma mater and through the Providence outreach efforts. These volunteer roles lend to her love of travelling as she’s visited Australia, Kenya, Brazil, and Lebanon. Born in southern California, she moved to the Portland area at a young age and has called this home ever since. When not using her medical expertise to help others, she enjoys musical theatre, choir, drama, wine tasting and spending time with her family and mini Aussie, Tom-Tom.
