The Vascular Surgery department of The International Heart Institute of Montana is the only dedicated vascular surgery program in western Montana. Headed by the region’s only board-certified vascular surgeon, we serve patients from a large region of the Rocky Mountain west.

Our vascular team includes an experienced surgical physician’s assistant, vascular-certified nursing staff, and certified imaging technologists. Our vascular team works collaboratively with colleagues in cardiology, cardiac surgery, interventional radiology, primary care, and hospitalists, with the goal of providing the best outcomes for our patients.

Vascular surgery is a specialty that addresses peripheral vascular disease (disease of the arteries and veins). We offer comprehensive evaluation, using a state-of-the-art vascular imaging suite to develop an individualized plan of care that best suits each patient's situation.

Treatments for arterial disease are performed either in a traditional operating room, or within our specialized hybrid radiology suite. Treatments for venous disease are performed in our new imaging and procedure suite within the ambulatory clinic area.
