Our preschool welcomes children from three to five years of age. The preschool classroom builds upon the foundations of social, emotional, physical and intellectual development. Children practice their self-help skills. They are encouraged to work together on projects with a focus on understanding diverse ideas. Teachers facilitate problem-solving between children but do not solve their problems for them. Lesson plans take into consideration the development of the children in the class. Art projects, imaginary play, reading and singing are all daily activities. In the preschool room, we have ten children for each teacher, with a maximum group size of 15 children.

Providence Benedictine Child Development Center is a nationally accredited nonprofit child care facility serving employees of Providence Health & Services and the surrounding community since 1989.
