Notice to Humboldt County residents who need a location to charge medical devices

January 4, 2023 - If you are a Humboldt County resident who needs a place to charge or plug in a medical device, please go to the Red Cross shelter at Monument Middle School in Rio Dell (95 Center Street).

Providence St. Joseph Hospital, Eureka, and Redwood Memorial Hospital in Fortuna are currently at capacity and will be unable to accommodate residents who need to charge medical devices. 

We sincerely regret any inconvenience to our community but ask that for your safety and that of our patients that the available Red Cross Shelter be accessed for this need.
