About Fung-Ming Kung
Fung-Ming Kung, LAc, is a licensed acupuncturist with a Master in Science of Oriental Medicine from National College of Natural Medicine. Before her graduate study, Fung-Ming received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and was a registered nurse (RN) specializing in home care in the greater Boston area for twelve years. As a licensed acupuncturist and former RN, Fung-Ming’s current practice combines ancient and modern medical understanding to administer compassionate, whole-person care derived from eastern and western philosophy.
Fung-Ming’s approach to patient care is focused on symptom relief from chronic and acute conditions while treating underlying root causes. In addition, Fung-Ming works with her patients to empower the individuals to take charge of their own healing. In her practice, Fung-Ming treats a variety of health concerns including acute and chronic pain management, digestive issues, addiction, mental-emotional issues and side effects of chemotherapy. In the treatment room, she uses a combination of acupuncture, Chinese dietary therapy, Qi gong exercise and Oriental massage bodywork in her practice. She also uses gentle method for patients who are sensitive to needles.
In her personal time, Fung-Ming enjoys qi gong, reading, hiking, traveling, candle-making and spending time with her family and friends.
