About Roy B. Mukku
Dr. Mukku is a California native, growing up in the Bay Area and Los Angeles. After completing his bachelor’s degrees in Biochemistry and Public Health at UC Berkeley, he went on to complete his medical training in Houston and New York City. After working as a Hospitalist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, he returned home to the West Coast and continued working as a Hospitalist at UCLA. Wanting to pursue his passion for Cardiology, he completed fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. Experiencing different parts of the country while training and working with diverse patient populations, he has come to value and appreciate the unique backgrounds of his patients. Dr. Mukku is committed to comprehensive cardiovascular care through shared decision-making with his patients, and utilizing the most effective diagnostic and treatment strategies available to improve longevity and quality of life.

Dr. Mukku has a wonderful manner and is very attentive to my questions. I have confidence in his care. He ruled out chronic A-fib, but is continuing to follow up with me, as there was an episode while I was under the care of another physician. I appreciate that he is continuing to follow me, in case it should recur. He also went through the recent labs from my physical, and discussed risks/benefits of going on a medication, which we concluded isn't necessary at this time. He respects my desire to hold off on medicating, as appropriate.
