About Arthur H. Loussararian
Dr. Loussararian received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the University of California, Los Angeles, and his medical degree at the UCLA School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine, and fellowship in cardiology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, and fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles.
During his medical training, Dr. Loussararian also studied at the Centro Cuore Columbus cardiology research laboratory in Milan, Italy. He has participated in volunteer community activities in Los Angeles County, serving as attending cardiologist at the Venice Family Clinic. Dr. Loussararian joined Mission Internal Medical Group in 1998. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology and Vascular Medicine.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and of the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention (FSCAI).
Dr. Loussararian is active in clinical research and has served as Principal Investigator in multiple national clinical trials encompassing cardiology and peripheral vascular disease. He serves as Clinical Instructor of Medicine at the UCLA School of Medicine. He is also the Director of Clinical Research for MHMG.
Dr. Loussararian is an Interventional Cardiologist with an interest in coronary angioplasty, valvular heart disease, patent foramen ovale, atrial septal defect. He also has a special area of interest in endovascular therapy for peripheral arterial disease, carotid artery disease, aortic aneurysm, and venous insufficiency. He is the Director of the Vascular Lab and the Coumadin Anticoagulation Clinic, and Co-Director of the Vein Center.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lou for years. I can only say positive things about him. Not only is he an excellent clinician, but he cares about me as a person. He asks about my family and I ask him about his. I can speak to him iin confidence about some personal issues and know what I share will stay with him will not leave the room. Also, If I need recommendations or information about my health care , he will provide it and keep the conversation confidential. I have several friends who also see Dr Lou and they have the same high opinion of him as I do as he treats us not only as patients, but as people.

I don't recommend medical services to anyone.I was expecting to have a recommendation for treatment. Evidently the Dr's didn't comfrence delaying treatment for at least 2 weeks. I hope it doesn't effect the outcome.

I wish Dr. Lou was more expressive while explaining my medical condition. That said, seeing him was highly beneficial since he ordered/conducted various tests which uncovered that I have 2 aortic aneurysms and plaque build-up I was unaware of. He also reestablished that I needed to take my previously known AFIB condition more seriously and referred me to an arythmia specialist to help manage It. It is possible that Dr. Lou Helped me avoid a dire health outcome since I was lifting up to 350 lbs with my legs which could have created enough aortic pressure to rupture my aneurysms. He advised me to avoid lifting anything greater than 40 lbs to be safe. Dr. Lou also called me at home after hours to check on me after I went into AFIB during a stress test. Overall, I feel he is an excellent provider.
