Yicheng Tang, MD

First visit, excellent doctor and staff.

This was my first visit with Dr Tang. He was very professional yet friendly and easy to talk to. He was very patient with me and took the time to understand my concerns.

Dr. Tang warmly greeted me and asked probing questions about my health. He is a very good listener and spoke with me with and my husband with respect. Looking forward to working with him.

Probably par for the course in medical practice these days. There was no "interest" in what I had to say, it was quite noticeable that he just related to the computer and his phone was transcribing, I really was not part of the equation. His comment that supplements were really not worth anything made me realize, as young as he was, his medical school training has not / did not teach anything about nutrition. As Hippocrates said, "Let medicine be your food and food be your medicine," We still haven't learned, drugs continue to be more important the nutrition. But again, he was more engaged with his computer and content for his phone to transcribe than to give any information about the tests I had received. (I could pick up a copy at the front office.) It was one of those "in and out appointments." "Next."

I had to visit the office In person to schedule an appointment Because no one answered the phone during business hours. However once there, they assisted me quickly.

Dr Tang was exceptional. I have already referred family members to him specifically. He tried to help him learn how to get EKG readings with Apple watch. He was very familiar with previous tests, etc.

First time visit with Dr. Tang and he seems very knowledgeable. He did have access to my medical records. He spent the requisite time with me but I probably should have been more prepared to ask more questions about my condition given it was our first meeting. Some of ratings reflect the reception area. They are not as welcoming as they should be in either checking in or checking out. The doctor and his assistant were very good.

Dr Tang was prepared for my appointment and had reviewed my medical records before the appointment. He listed to my questions and provided clear responses. I feel fortunate to have him as my doctor.

Everything was great once I was able to be seen. The only problem I had was the wait time to get an appointment for me, a new patient. Originally they said it would take almost 3 months, but because this doctor was new to the practice, they were able to get me in sooner.

Dr. Tang was great. Explained things and was concerned about my health.

Dr Tang is a great listener, articulate, and knowlegeable. He answered my question regarding the use of Statins. I would definitely trust him with my "heart." He is a great addition to Providence.

My prior cardiologist was Dr. Rediker, with whom I have had a very positive Dr./patient relationship with for many years. Because he is soon to be retired, my appointment was made with Dr. Tang. My appointment was recommended by my Harvard Eye glaucoma Dr. In order to see if there was a relationship between a possible eye infection and cardio links. Dr. Tang went out of his way to see what blood work was recently done by my rheumatologist Dr. Catherine Driver and sent me to the lab to redo those tests to see If there was a change.Dr. Tang kindly called me the following day which was on a weekend to let me know that I did not have a serious eye Infection. I appreciate that Dr. Tang went out of his way on a weekend to give me that Information. Thank you, Dr. Tang! C

Excellent experience with the medical assistant and the doctor.

The doctor felt very professional and had a great understanding of their practice/specialty. I felt like they were a little brusque in correcting some of my thoughts but I don't think they were wrong.

Dr. Tang was great and I'm glad I was referred to him. I look forward to working with him in the future to evaluate my heart condition. The reception staff was wonderful to before and after my visit. Very helpful.

I needed a cardiologist approval asap for a preop and Dr Teng was very helpful since my regular Dr was on vacation.
