About Ira J. Perry
Dr. Perry is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, and American College of Phlebology. Dr. Perry graduated from Pacific Union College, Magna cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. He received his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine, and did both his Internal Medicine as well as his Cardiology training at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.
His scope of practice ranges from preventative care to complex heart failure. Dr. Perry has been instrumental in developing a vein clinic for diagnosis as well as minimally invasive treatment of chronic venous insufficiency.

I had to wait several months to get in to see the doctor for my first visit. Then, I had to wait another four months for the echocardiogram and stress test the doctor ordered. My follow-up to see the doctor to discuss the test results was the same week as the tests. I really liked the RN who was with me during the [nuclear] stress test. She assured me that the "side effects" I was feeling were perfectly normal. Dr. Perry explained the results to me and said I needed to see my internist and get more blood work.

I like Dr Perry's demeanor for my cardiology care. He doesn't get annoyed if I ask a question like other cardiologists I have been to before him. That's very important to me as I am a little sensitive. He also asks me a lot of questions to see if I am keeping up with my daily routine of doing healthy things. Not sure why doctors do not ask about people's diet as I think it is very important to watch your weight especially when getting older. Doctors should give patients a reminder on cutting carbs and sugar, eating more fruits and veggies, and exercising at least 15 min a day. We all Know we should do it and don't so a reminder is always good. FYI I have never had a doctor say that to me and I am 78 yrs old.
