Mr Shaw and his office staff and nurse do an awesome job one the better parts of Providence hospital in and Dr offices in my opinion..

Dr. Shaw is always thorough and professional, yet friendly and takes the time to put you at ease. He treats you as a person, not just as a patient.

I had a very good experience meeting Dr. SHAW.

This was my very first appointment with Dr. Shaw and I was very anxious because I just found out that I had abdominal aortic Calcification-He was very kind and reassured me that I'm not going to have a heart attack anytime soon! He prescribed a heart monitor for two weeks as well as an MRI which I have yet to schedule, but I will. His manner is very easy-going and calm and friendly, which I appreciate appreciated!

My experience with Dr. Shaw was very good he was very much down to earth and made my wife and I very relaxed even though my was serious! The office staff I worked with was very accommodating in all the aspects of getting all the test and Dr appointments I needed to do. They made it as least stressful as it could possibly have been!!

Dr. Shaw was thorough and his answers to our questions were easy to understand. He also introduced me to the Framingham cardiac risk. This was my first meeting with Dr. Shaw (prior cardiologist moved away) and he is quite impressive - my wife requested an appointment for herself before leaving his office.

Dr.Shaw answered my questions, seemed genuinely interested and concerned about my health, and was generous with his time, respectful, reassuring, and professional in demeanor.

I drive out to Newberg just because I am so impressed with Dr. Shaw and his staff!

Dr. Shaw is my heart doctor, so I do not call him if I have athletes foot, so those questions at the front of this survey do not apply. Now, is he a good heart doc? YES HE IS! He explains what is going on, and listens to me. I wish all my others docs were more like him.

I was referred to Dr. Shaw by my PCP (or his PA) based on an in person visit and stress test results. I was amazed and thankful to be able to see Dr. Shaw within a couple of days, rather than the expected wait time of several months. He was very thorough in reviewing my symptoms, history, and test results, listened carefully to my questions, and gave very clear and understandable instructions for my care.

I really like my cardiologist and sleep apnea doctor and trust them to know what is best for me. My primary care has messed up my medicines, so I have transferred all my heart meds to my cardiologist, because those are the most important to me. I have other meds, but they are not critical to me.

Dr. Shaw is good; I would not need to recommend him because I think he's the only cardiologist available in Newberg. He's too busy but never makes me feel rushed. He knows I don't follow orders I don't agree with so he accept that (graciously, now) and explains his viewpoint clearly and listens to mine.
