About Lori M. Tam
In her cardiology practice, Lori Tam, M.D., believes that her most important role as a health care provider is to serve as a patient advocate and educator. "I like to educate my patients about their health conditions and empower them to make wise and effective decisions about their lifestyle and maintaining optimal cardiovascular health," she says. Dr. Tam wants to encourage her patients to feel comfortable asking her questions about their health and cardiac concerns. She believes all patients deserve high-quality, compassionate care.
After earning her medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Dr. Tam completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and a cardiology fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
She is board certified in internal medicine, and her clinical interests include coronary artery disease and cardiac imaging. Dr. Tam was born and raised in Portland and speaks fluent Cantonese. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Dr Tam was very good. I felt like she had a heavy work load and was anxious to help me as quickly as she could. I didn't take this personally but felt she had a lot going on. It took a very long time to make an appointment with her office almost 6 weeks. I was never asked about being put on a cancellation list.
