About Haley K. Hughston
Dr. Hughston is board certified in cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medine. Dr. Hughston attended Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine from 2011-2015 where she obtained her medical degree. She then went on to attend the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio where she completed her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship in 2021. She served as the chief cardiology fellow from 2020-2021 at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio. She is also board certified in Adult Echocardiography, Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Hughston is a Lubbock native at heart. She grew up in Lubbock and graduated from Monterey High School and loves that all of her family still calls Lubbock home. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband, Adam, and their two daughters as well as cooking, and playing tennis and mahjong. She is also deeply committed to the community of Lubbock and West Texas through volunteering at many charity organizations. Dr. Hughston believes that the practice of medicine is truly that, a practice. The field of cardiology is changing constantly with new therapies and guidelines being released almost daily. With that in mind, she strives to maintain the most up to date knowledge so that her patients are receiving the best care possible. Her hope is to be remembered as a physician who touched the lives of her patients and helped them achieve a longer and more healthy life.
