About Gurumeenal Krishnan
Dr. Krishnan just completed a specialized cardiology fellowship in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology at the University of Washington. She looks forward to practicing general cardiology with a focus on heart failure including advanced evaluation and therapies for heart failure patient management. She completed her general cardiology fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin with expertise in heart failure, hypertension, lipid disorders, prevention and management of coronary artery disease, diagnostic cardiac testing, cardiac imaging and rhythm monitoring. Dr. Krishnan is originally a Seattle native and trained with Dr. Mignone, the Medical Director of the Heart Failure Program at Swedish Heart & Vascular Institute. When not seeing patients, Dr. Krishnan enjoys boxing, running, hiking, and traveling.

While my appointment didn't begin on time, that is only because she takes the time necessary to understand her patients' concerns, explain in detailed, yet simple terms what is going on, her thoughts, and next steps. I went into my appointment very nervous about how I was feeling as I have a family history of cardiac problems. Dr. Krishnan not only listened to my symptoms and didn't immediately jump to anxiety being the cause, but she relieved my fears and gave me the space to express my feelings on it all. I would wait 2+ hours past my appointment time any day if it meant receiving such incredible care.

She was covering the ER at the same time and there was some sort of issue that caused her to be late to our appointment, but she was extremely apologetic and I happened to not be in a hurry that day, so it was fine.

My visit was a follow up to a cardiac event which occurred 5 months ago. Dr Krishnan was very good about questions I had, and where I need to follow advice on any activities. My tests results were explained thoroughly and suggested prescription and diet changes made. I have been in the Swedish Cardiac Rehab program, which has been excellent. I will now transfer to a Silver&Fit program and continue physical improvement activities.
