Dr. Appel is a life-saver and shows honest concern for his patient and spouse.

Dr. David Appel, MD, has provided exceptional clinical care during my SHMC inpatient experience and subsequent outpatient visits. He has delivered the highest level of cardiac expertise and certainly reflects the values and mission of Providence SHMC. Our entire experience with SHMC personnel and services was exemplary, from the ED receptionist, ED MD(s), hospitalist(s), nurses on the 6th floor, cardiac technicians, dietitians to car park attendants. Also, having access to Epic MyChart was reassuring as we were able to track lab, imaging, pharmacy and other clinical results during my visit in a timely manner.

Difficult to get appointments to be seen soon. This seems to be a issue every where. Please open calendars six months in the future instead of 3 months in the future. Dr. Appeal is the most caring professional doctor I have ever met. He should be training others in patient care. He always makes you feel like you are the most important patient he has. You never feel rushed.

This was the first time seeing him and was unsure if he was the best cardiologist I could want and one with a caring bedside manner. Dr Appel is an amazing doctor. He is interested in me as a patient and during the time I spent with him he was totally focused on me as a patient and went out of his way to answer all my questions an alleviate any concerns I may have had regarding my forthcoming ablation procedure.

All staff were excellent. I had 2 tests and then saw Dr Appell to go over results and plan of action. Results were not expected but the Dr. Was very kind and knowledgeable while describing plan of action and what the process would be til surgery he believed best for me. Very helpful and informative visit with my Heart Doctor. He did a great job communicating my current health status based on my blood tests and EKG results. He reviewed important next steps regarding diet, exercise, and changes in my current medications. He referred me to a couple of timely Healthcare books on weight loss and how to better understand good calories from bad calories. Overall, I had a very good visit with my Heart Doctor.
