This was my first visit with Deanna Barrett. I was impressed that she seemed well versed in my medical history down to knowing the number of my previous aortic measurement. She was very clear in her communication, used generic language to explain things, looked at me, and while she was focused, I didn't feel rushed. She repeated the follow up information several times so we were both clear about next steps. Making the appointment was confusing. I was given an appointment (which I had been trying to get for 9 months) then received a message a month before It that I needed to "urgently" come in for a pacemaker reading. I came in for that reading and was told I could cancel the appointment I had waited so long for. I refused to do that because I wanted to discuss things with the doctor or whomever I was to see. In the end I found this stressful and confusing as well as a waste of the time of the cardiac staff who are stretched so thin because I had to have a second pacemaker reading before my appointment.

She is great. She treated my concerns with respect and patience. She discussed what she thought was reasonable work-up for my concerns and gave rationale for it, and offered treatment choices if my blood pressure continues to be elevated. I trusted her judgement.

My care from Deanna was EXCELLENT. She took the time to answer my questions etc since I recently had a 'stent' put in. Trying to get through to make an appointment and then to get an appointment can be frustrating. Seems like they are short of providers. I was on the waiting list so I got in sooner than my scheduled appointment which I was happy about.

She was considerate, kind, thoughtful. She listened well and was upbeat and enjoyable to work with.

This was the first time to meet this doc, a newer member of the team. This was an annual follow up for my pacemaker which timed out to be right after gall bladder surgery. This team has always been the best and I am lucky to have there help. They also work close and very well with the other docs involved with my care.

I thought Deanna was well informed, listened carefully, and was a pleasure to relate to.
