About Roy P. Won

Dr. Roy P. Won, MD, FACS is a double board-certified surgeon in general surgery and colorectal surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He completed his medical degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at Harbor UCLA Medical Center. After general surgery training, he received further specialization in colorectal surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Jersey. Prior to joining St. Jude’s Heritage Medical Group, he has experience working as a colorectal surgeon at Kaiser Permanente in the Mid-Atlantic region and as a part of the Kelsey Seybold Clinic in Houston, Texas. Dr. Won has a special interest in caring for patients with colorectal cancer, anal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and diverticulitis using the latest minimally invasive techniques like robotic and laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Won also has expertise in anorectal issues like hemorrhoids, anal fistulas, and anal fissures.
