Andrew Henrick, MD

I feel very fortunate to have studied at a university world renowned for its medical school and for its eye institute. I continue to update my education by regularly studying current medical journals and by attending postgraduate continuing medical education courses. I am pleased to donate my time and efforts to those professional organizations that are dedicated to improving eye care for all of us. As this critical time in medicine, I believe it is of great importance to be in a position to act as advocate for our patients. Only in this way can we hope to maintain the high quality of medical care in our nation. The word doctor means teacher. I feel it is important to give something back to medicine by helping to teach the next generation of physicians, and by adding to our overall knowledge by contributing to the scientific literature. Although I enjoy all aspects of ophthalmology, it has often been with surgical procedures that I have been able to make the most dramatic positive impact on the lives of my patients. I believe that my interests outside of medicine help me to approach my patients with a balanced point of view, and contribute to my abilities as a physician.
